Thaba Thula offers a unique bushveld experience, with privacy and unexpected luxury. It is an exclusive self-catering lodge, serviced by trained camp attendants. Only one group can be accommodated at a time, ensuring total privacy and enjoyment.

The facilities consist of a main house with three En-suite bedrooms (sleeps 7), its own lounge, dining room, braai Lapa, patio, and kitchen. A loft with a separate bathroom provides three extra beds, which brings the total number of beds to ten. A guest cottage overlooking the bigger Thaba Thula dam, provides another three En-suite bedrooms (sleeps 6). A luxurious cottage, with two separate executive En-suite bedrooms, is hidden discreetly across a stream and can only be reached with a timber bridge (sleeps 4). Total twenty beds.

The Lapa/Conference area has a separate lounge with Wi-Fi, DSTV, dining/conference area as well as a fully equipped kitchen for bigger groups. The main house also has a separate dining room, lounge area with DSTV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

The lodge has beautiful lawns surrounded by indigenous bush. The pool area is bordered by a small stream that links the two Thaba Thula dams. The lodge is securely, yet discreetly, fenced and provides a roaming security guard at night. The units are protected by alarms, a beam system and panic buttons that are linked to an on-site reaction force.

Thaba Lodge borders onto the western side of the Roodekoppies dam. The reserve is graced by various rocky outcrops and hills, as well as beautiful indigenous bushveld trees, like marula, combretum species, leadwood and wild syringa. The reserve is well stocked with game, including buffalo, sable & roan. The buffalo are kept in a secure 400 ha camp, to enable guests to walk, run or cycle in total freedom and security on the rest of the1200 ha farm. Two Land Cruiser game drive vehicles are also available for self-drive by guests, or to be driven by the camp attendants, if preferred.
